God's Provision

God's Provision

This Thanksgiving Day, I have much to be grateful for...

So in my first, (and only other), post I talked about grief. Written in August, I had no way of knowing how timely the subject was for my family.

Who would know that in October, Tom's son, Troy, would pass away unexpectedly. He suffered a cardiac arrest while doing something he loved. Practicing his drums for one of the two bands he enjoyed playing with.

Hmmm... I believe that in August, God was preparing me for what was to come.

Psalm 139:13-16 NIV

13 For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place,
    when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.

God knew I'd need a fresh understanding of His grace and mercy for the sadness that was to follow. In advance of our need, He provided valuable, timely information.

You gotta love Him... He's always looking out for us :)
