A Different Perspective

So... we've been in our home 20 years next February (2025). Over the years I've developed habits: Basic house care twice a week, Cooking tools in certain places, Mowing the yard on certain days... You know. Habits make life easier. Decide once and then go on auto-pilot.
Our kitchen is efficient. We say it's a one-person kitchen.
Well this week I had a cookie marathon for Christmas gifts - AND a 'light bulb' moment. Why not move our stand mixer to the right of the sink, next to the kitchen table? I put it there when I make noodles. Whaaaat?
Why hadn't I ever done this before? It worked out great! Put the ingredients and tools on the table where they are easy to reach. More elbow room. Much more efficient. I mixed up 8 batches of cookies in record time with much less stress than before. Not earth shattering, but I like it :)
So... what changed? A different perspective. Looking at a routine process differently. I'm going to make this a new habit. Looking at old habits to see if it's time for a change.
Maybe there's something in your life you need to reevaluate. Go for it!
